Amateur golfers operate a handicap method, which registers the total of strokes over par a golf player shoots normally on average. For example, a golfer with a handicap of 2 would shoot a 72 on average on a golf course with a par of 70. This evens the playing field between golfers with varying skill levels.
Question by Dirk D: I need 2 club members signatures to join the golf club. I don’t know anyone in the club. Help?
I am mainly signing up so I can get a handicap. Is this how most golf clubs have you apply? If so how do I join if I don’t know any members?
Question by : Carnival Dream for Teens!?
So I’m going on the Carnival Dream to the western Caribbean. I would like to know a little more about this cruise. First off, Club O2. Give me some extra details from what is on the Carnival website. Is it any fun? Also, I read something about teen-only shore excursions. How do those work? What goes on? How much do they cost or how much of a discount do you get for going with Club O2? Next, does it cost anything to go mini golfing on the ship? Because I’m not sure what exactly I will need extra money for. I read about laser tag on the ship as well. Is there really a laser tag course on the cruise? And is it free? How much does it cost if it’s not free? Please any help as well as some advice for having the BEST TIME EVER on the Carnival Dream!
I’m traveling in September. :[ sorry Miles

Question by maddmcgowan: help, getting married in 4 and a half months and the venue is changing the script?
Hi, looking for a little advice, getting married in just over 4 months and thaught that all was well, booked a golf club as the venue for the reception and was told that if i joined i would get 50% off venue hire, 20% off all drinks and 10% off all food, (this worked inside our budget and seemed a grand way to get to know the place well!) now with just 4 and a half months to go they are changing the story, no discounts on anything but the drink (and no i did’nt get it in writing beliving – stupidly – that the GM was a man of his word) any ideas what i can do from here?
a few details that may help, joined last sept, payed for a year upfrount (to get the discounts!!)
any help would be wonderful!
cheers

Question by : Was this Jewelry sales person stereotyping because I’m black? Honestly? 10 PTS to best answer!?
Tonight I stopped by this New Jewelry store in town, to check out some engagement rings for my girlfriend. When I walked in, She asked me what I wanted, I told her I wanted to get something nice. Then she takes me over to this massive ring, that was marked down 80% apparently it was a 20,000 ring that was discounted to 4000. It was really ” Loud “. Then the sales lady kept saying lines like, ” This is the Bling bling ring, if she wants some bling on her finger, this is the one for her”. I laughed it off, but she kept on saying bling while talking about the ring for about 10 minutes. Then she showed me some smaller rings, and she was like ” These are nice, but They dont have that bling bling like the first one”. It was almost nerve racking. I’m a Mixed wht/blk 28 yr old professional working middle class person. I’m not some Rap mogul , thug, gangsta, I have no problem with those types, many of my friends are thuggish. But I dont even use the word ” Bling ” In my vocabulary. The Sales woman was by the looks of it a mid 40′s white lady. Location Atlanta ga. My question is, was this inappropriate dialog? I was wearing golf clothes ( this happened after taking golf lessons ). Was she stereotyping me? It just sounded so corny, Maybe she was trying to be hip, but I’m not thuggish at all, Infact, my friends tell me I sound white! I don’t get this Bling bling ?

Question by Lovin29: Can you cancel your tee time the day of?
I’m trying to surprise my fiance for his birthday by getting him a gift card to a very nice golf course. He is taking the day off work and says he’s just going to sleep in and catch up on projects around the house.
I want to go ahead and book a tee time, for the late afternoon, for his actual birthday since this course fills up quick but what if (and this is unlikely) he can’t play golf that day….will it be a problem for him to call and cancel the tee time, I mean is that frowned upon?!
